about my artwork...

Color blindness has been a major factor in my approach to creative expression. Form and contrast take precedence. From stencil street-art to formal paper cuts to wood sculpture, the emphasis becomes structure and movement and the resulting play of light and shadow. A tension exists between careful planning and spontaneity.  All the pieces are drawn and cut by hand. This process imparts an approachability for the viewer. I try to convey a meditative yet playful experience, blurring the lines between craft and art.
